The Roller Champions E3 demo is available to try for free on PC from June 10–14. Players who want to try their hand at the fast-paced action can do so on PC starting today. While the soundtracks may not be very impressive and comparable to a lot of other games, they sure do a good job at adding some pump to the overall gameplay.During their E3 2019 press conference, Ubisoft revealed a colorful new roller derby game called Roller Champions. This means Console and PC players would be able to game together.

The game supports cross-play which is a big plus point. If you don’t like playing solo then you can also have a lot of fun by adding your friends. Ubisoft has already confirmed that the Battle Pass will only add cosmetics to the game and there are no pay-to-win mechanics added. The Battle Pass can be bought separately too and has a lot of good things to offer. You can have a lot of fun playing the game with all the modes added to the game. In the end, all I wanna say is that Roller Champions is a good free-to-play title. Something that was even more surprising was that the requirements listed 16GB of RAM as the minimum. The “minimum” requirements officially released by the Dev Team suggest at least an Intel i5-4460, with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB card. We were very surprised to see how well the game performed even on such low-end hardware. We tested the game on the ASUS Vivobook 14 with the Ryzen 3 3250U, Vega 3 Integrated Graphics, and 8GB of RAM. Other than that, there were no major issues we found in our testing. We also faced a few minor shutters during the tutorial area, but they all seem to have been fixed during the online matches.
While the initial beta we got to try – did have a few issues with the game not even starting, all of that seems to now be fixed.
PC PerformanceĪs of now, the PC Port seems to be optimized pretty well. Ubisoft has also confirmed that all items in Roller Champions are purely cosmetic and do not give any advantages or disadvantages to players. It has been confirmed that all of the gear included in the pass is exclusive to it and cannot be obtained in the item shop. The Roller Passes are for around 4 weeks each and there are 30 tiers and a total of 42 rewards. It allows players to gain different customization options for their characters. This game calls the battle pass a “Roller Pass” which provides players with additional content. Just like most of the other free-to-play games, Roller Champions also has a battle pass equivalent. Along with that one player could also be added as a spectator which would be very helpful in tournaments. If a team has a player and two missings, then there was also the option to add an AI which made the 3v3 experience even better. We got to try out the Custom Game mode in our testing and found it to be very well made. As of writing, there’s a time-limited mode that could be removed in the future.
There’s even a Skatepark for players to practice and a Custom Game mode. The permanent modes include a 3v3 Quick Match, along with that, there are also the Ranked Matches. There are a total of 5 game modes, out of which some are permanent and a few are time-limited. Players can also get help by using boosts to be faster than their teammates. Until the lap gauge isn’t filled, the net to make the goal won’t open.
This can be done by traveling the entire arena a few times. To even take a chance of making a goal, filling the lap gauge is required. Just like in a normal game of football, players need to pass the ball between all three of their teammates regularly. If you end up supporting each of your teammates then you have a higher chance of winning. While you can play completely solo 1v3, the game heavily focuses on teaming up and playing together. This game focuses more on 3v3 Player gameplay. Starting with the gameplay, it is very easy to play and also feels smooth to play.
